Wireless technologies that are highly available and respond quickly are an essential component of industrial automation and the Industrial Internet of Things. With R3’s EchoRing, a technology like this is already known to the industry.
R3 Solutions GmbH, which arose from R3 – Reliable Realtime Radio Communications GmbH, is now in charge of continuing the development of EchoRing technology. As Managing Directors, Dr.-Ing, Mathias Bohge, and Florian Bonanati have joined the new company. The Peppermint industrial group owns the new company.
Mathias Bohge explains: “In Peppermint we have a strong and reliable partner with whom we can jointly advance EchoRing and industrial real-time wireless networking.” The new set-up provides R3, which will continue to operate independently, with the ideal environment for the further development of EchoRing technology.
Florian Bonanati: “As part of the Peppermint family, we benefit from strong synergies and are part of a highly innovative cluster of companies.”
R3 Solutions is the starting point for the Peppermint Group’s development of the new visionary business area, “Wireless Technologies & Sensorics.” Marcus Baumbach, Peppermint’s Managing Partner: “We’re starting a new chapter at Peppermint with our investment in wireless industrial communication. This includes radio control systems, which are a key digital technology for the future, as they allow industrial processes to operate without the use of cables, making them less prone to errors. Wireless communication in industry is a key driver of Industry 4.0, and it fits perfectly into our corporate strategy for future industrial production that is both sustainable and intelligent.”
