But the reality is that Wireless Technology is here, today, and given the vast number of sensors, devices, and application areas, our panelists will highlight key applications in the area of Wireless Power & Energy Harvesting. The WCA is pleased to present a group of experts from companies who are delivering products and pushing the envelope for innovation in Wireless Power. Tom Hunt (Moderator)
Managing Partner – Axcellex
Tom is a successful entrepreneur who has launched and grown products in highly competitive areas. Experience in sales, business development, and go-to-market strategy and execution as a general manager. Tom presently serves as the Managing General Partner of Axcellex, LLC. This strategic consulting firm assists technology firms in overcoming significant business obstacles, seizing new market possibilities, and achieving tangible outcomes.
Jeff Yen
Founder/CEO Etherdyne Technologies
As a trained physicist, Dr. Jeff Yen has a strong entrepreneurial mindset that made him embark on the journey of business and co-found a company that is developing wireless power technology. He received his bachelor degree in physics and astrophysics at UC Berkeley, and Ph.D in physics at Stanford University. He is co-author of multiple IEEE papers and co-inventors for 30 patents, worldwide.
Doug Stovall
CEO Ossia
Doug has been involved with leading edge technology companies his entire career. Previously, Doug was Chief Revenue Officer for Mobivity, managing sales, and marketing. Earlier Doug held executive positions with Hipcricket, Inc., Acuity Mobile, Inc., Telecommunications Systems, Inc., Aether Systems, Inc., and Xpedior, Inc. Doug has been a key team member in nine successful exits during his career. These include 2 IPOs, and an acquisition by Nokia. Doug’s passion for technology is rooted in his belief that mobile devices will be the personal gateway to all of the information individuals will need or desire.
Charlie Greene
COO/CTO Powercast
Charlie has over twenty years of experience in the Radio Frequency (RF) field, including seventeen years at Powercast. Dr. Greene is an expert in wireless power transfer, antenna design and RFID. He has over twenty-five issued US patents and many other foreign and pending patents in the wireless power and RFID fields. Charlie has published many articles and presented at various industry-leading conferences in the US, Europe and Japan. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburg in 2001, 2002, and 2006 respectively.
Dinesh Kithany
Founder/Chief Analyst WAWT
Dinesh is a well-established technology expert at Wired and Wireless Technologies, a strategic technology analyst and consultancy firm, specializing in wireless power, power supplies and EV charging infrastructure sectors. Prior to founding WAWT, Dinesh was the lead industry analyst on wireless power and power supply industry with IHS Markit/Informa. He is one of the most sought after analysts in the industry today. Dinesh has 26+ years of experience, of which the past 11 years have been in technology sectors, including smart home, smart appliances, smart connectivity, robotics and drones, interface battleground, wireless power, power supplies, and EV charging infrastructure. It’s safe to say, he is passionate about research and delivering insights.
Cesar Johnston
Chief Executive Officer – Energous Corporation
Mr. Cesar Johnston joined Energous in July 2014 and serves as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. He has previously served as Vice President of Engineering for Wireless Connectivity at Marvell Semiconductor. During his time with Marvell, Cesar led Marvell’s worldwide R&D and development of all Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, and NFC products. Prior to Marvell, Cesar drove technology innovation at Broadcom responsible for 802.11g and 802.11n products. He serves on the CTO Council for the Global Semiconductor Alliance, is an IEEE Senior Member, and is an advisory board member to KINS Technology Group. He also has written over 40 conference and journal papers and holds 27 patents.
As Executive Manager Peter brings with him about 40 years of extensive experience in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Executive Leadership, in all market segments of the Wireless Industry, Big Data, FinTech and SaaS. Since 2008 Peter has been operating as an independent business consultant, consulting domestic and international companies to become successful in getting.
In Germany Peter was Head of Department of Debis (Daimler Benz InterServices).
